Born in Hertfordshire, before the formation of the Beatles, and trained to teach in the days when child-centred learning was the fashion, Tim has since taught in many schools, becoming Deputy Head, then Head Teacher. He thinks that the best reward, as a teacher, is to engage with people who are excited by learning.

Tim is a friendly, patient teacher with a strong sense of fun.  He believes that people learn best when they are happy, relaxed and engaged with their task.  He has lots of presentation experience, not only from his work in schools but notably as a singer and performer.  He reads and listens widely - the radio or CD player is a fairly constant companion.  Films, of course, are another interest, Tim finding it almost impossible to decline an invitation to watch the current film on loan from the library.

Tim is married, with a daughter, a Border Collie and a delightful (though dilapidated) cottage in a pretty part of East Anglia.  A lot of his best ideas arrive whilst walking the dog each day, alongside the River Waveney.
